Planning for the Week Ahead

Planning is my thing. I use a Commit30 planner. The layout works great for me- it focuses on yearly, monthly, and daily goals. Of course it has really useful monthly calendars and weekly planning pages as well. Since I have been using Commit30 planners, I have been really focusing on setting and working toward goals. Once I attain a goal, I feel proud of myself. I sometimes set goals like not eating any sweets for the entire week (my sweet tooth is a bitch!) or a month. When I reach that goal, I feel unstoppable!-until a bag of Twizzlers finds its way into my house. Other goals deal with finances, health, and relationships.

Meeting goals take work and time- just like anything worthwhile. I focus on my goals daily and like to post them where I can see them- someplace like my kitchen where I will see it everyday. I’d like to share a weekly planning sheet with you. I’ve included my weekly plans and added a link for you to download and complete for yourself. Let me know what you think!

I never would have thought I’d be so happy about being in my 50s. My health has never been better, and my personal and professional life have gone through many changes in the last ten years. I’ve gone from teaching high school English for twenty years to managing the office of a contractor company for a major refinery. Also, my children are now grown and out of the house- I’m a empty nester. I really believe this chapter will be the best yet!
