Wander to Wonder

During my twenties and thirties I was so busy working and raising kids that exploring our wonderful country and foreign countries wasn’t something I had the time or money to enjoy. It is just in the last twelve years or so I have realized there we are not promised tomorrow, so we can’t hold off experiencing new adventures. We can always make more money, but we can never make more time. I have visited many beautiful and memorable locations since I have been bitten by the traveling bug. I’ve traveled with just my husband, just my son, just my daughter, my husband and my kids, and my wonderful sisters. Every trip created memories I would not trade for anything. There are some places I have visited only once (so far!), some places I have visited several times, and one special place I have visited every year (except one year) for the last eight years.

Now that my children are older, with my daughter getting married this summer, I only hope that we can continue to share one special week every summer when we don’t worry about our studies or jobs or unfinished projects at home. When one is on vacation, one should only think about the next laugh, delicious meal, and beautiful sunset.
